The Vikki Maxi Dress in Cloud is a 100% silk maxi dress from VKELLER with a low back and a flowing mermaid silhouette. Spaghetti straps, front V-neckline, dramatic back drop and silk lining. The piece is designed in Paris; the silk is woven in China; and hand-finished in Portugal. The Cloud colourway: a soft luminous white tinged with subtle ivory, like morning mist on silk. Quiet, fluid, and luminous in changing light.

Produced in a limited numbered series, available in French sizes FR 36 to 42. Designed for civil ceremonies, evening receptions, and bridal moments where presence speaks softly.

Origin Story

HEAD TURNER: THE DRESS THAT STOPPED A ROOM.

This dress is inspired by Vikki Dougan's backless dress. She wore it once and became "The Back." In 1957, Vikki Dougan walked into the Golden Globes in a backless gown and froze the ceremony.

The silhouette
Spaghetti straps, V-neckline at the front, low dramatic back opening. Fluid floor-length silhouette that follows the body without clinging.

Fit notes
Cut to French sizing, runs true in FR 36 to 42. Cut pieces run slightly small on the bust; if between two sizes, size up. The back opening is low: choose a bra-free or low-back adhesive support. The model used for fitting and grading wears FR 38. For sizes outside FR 36–42, contact the house directly.

Sometimes a piece just needs a slight adjustment. Before initiating a return, our team can arrange an alteration for you, often the most elegant way to make a silhouette truly yours.

Returns are accepted within 14 days from the date of delivery, on items that are unworn, unaltered, and with all original tags attached. Return shipping is at the customer's expense, except for defective or non-conforming items, which we take care of.

Made-to-order pieces are non-refundable; we offer complimentary alterations to perfect the fit. Bespoke (sur-mesure) commissions are final sale, as each piece is produced exclusively for you following a validated prototype.

Q. Is the silk a blend?
A. No 100% silk across the piece. No viscose, no polyester, no rayon. 

Q. Can the Vikki Maxi Dress be worn in winter?
A. Yes. Silk regulates temperature: cool in summer, warm under a tailored coat in autumn and winter. Layer over a fine silk or cashmere base for colder months.

Q. How is it produced, and at what scale?
A. Numbered limited editions, hand-finished in Portugal. Production volumes are set per colourway and not replenished seasonally; when a colourway is sold out, the next drop is the next archive release.
