The Samara Maxi Dress in Cloud is a 100% silk bohemian maxi dress from VKELLER. It has ruffled long sleeves, a gathered waist, a soft V-neckline, and a fluid floor-length silhouette. The silk is woven in Italy; the piece is designed in Paris and hand-finished in Portugal. The Cloud colourway: a soft luminous white tinged with subtle ivory, like morning mist on silk. It catches light gently and gives the silhouette an ethereal stillness.

Produced in a limited numbered series, available in French sizes FR 30 to FR 50. Made for bridesmaids, garden weddings, civil ceremonies, and quiet evening receptions.

Origin Story

The Queens' Gown

This dress was inspired by a 60s piece worn by Victor Keller's grandmother, the actress Jany Clair, in the peplum film 'Hercules Against the Moon Men' in 1964. She played the antagonist, La Reine de Samare (Queen Samara). This maxi dress carries an ambivalence, a troubled elegance, yet powerful. In the film, La Reine de Samare betrays her own to ally with the Moon Men and become the most powerful woman in the world. Wear this elegance and power without ever letting it overshadow you.

The silhouette
Ruffled long sleeves, gathered at the natural waist, soft V-neckline, invisible back zip. The bodice is gathered; the skirt flows to the floor without clinging. Reads bohemian at a distance and quiet luxury up close.

Fit notes
Cut to French sizing, runs true in FR 36 to 42. The gathered waist sits at the natural waistline and accommodates most torso lengths. If between two sizes, size up for a looser fit through the bodice. The model in studio images wears FR 38. For sizes outside FR 36–42, contact the house directly.

Sometimes a piece just needs a slight adjustment. Before initiating a return, our team can arrange an alteration for you, often the most elegant way to make a silhouette truly yours.

Returns are accepted within 14 days from the date of delivery, on items that are unworn, unaltered, and with all original tags attached. Return shipping is at the customer's expense, except for defective or non-conforming items, which we take care of.

Made-to-order pieces are non-refundable; we offer complimentary alterations to perfect the fit. Bespoke (sur-mesure) commissions are final sale, as each piece is produced exclusively for you following a validated prototype.

A. No. 100% silk across the piece. No viscose, no polyester, no rayon. Woven in Italy.

Q. Can the Samara Maxi Dress be worn in winter?
A. Yes. Silk regulates temperature: cool in summer, warm under a tailored coat in autumn and winter. Layer over a fine silk or cashmere base for colder months.

Q. How is it produced, and at what scale?
A. Numbered limited editions, hand-finished in Portugal. Production volumes are set per colourway and not replenished seasonally; when a colourway is sold out, the next drop is the next archive release.
